I had used Apples since my high school replaced the group of Ohio Scientific Challenger 2P and 4P machines (4K or 16K of memory with a cassette tape to store programs and 9" black & white TVs as monitors) with Apple IIs and II+. View image: /infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif The guy behind the counter said I should get two 16MB chips instead of one 32MB chip, so I could "take advantage of interleaving." I had no clue what that was back then, so I bought two chips, but I've always wondered, wouldn't it be more efficient to use one chip rather than two, regardless of interleaving?Anyway, I chose the home use option, but I use it for work, too, and I maintain the Mac lab at school, even though technically they didn't really give me the admin password. I also have a 7500/100, with 48MB of RAM.Funny thing about that 7500, I went to the last MW Boston, where I got an extra 32MB for the thing. A iMac, which I've taken appart to add RAM, a new HD, and a Voodoo2, and a few times just for the hell of it. I was like, "whoa." I called Apple tech support to see if it was okay to put the external View image: /infopop/emoticons/icon_eek.gif monitor on top of the pizza box-style LCIII, and then I set the thing up. I was like, "is it color?!" and he said yes. I remember when my dad brought home the LCIII. That, along with a Classic and an LCIII, is sitting in my basement.
